Those AMAZING volunteers distribute books to children!

The Amazing Bookstore remains closed during this time of Covid-19 Hunker Down, and masked volunteers with the help of the Juneau Library Staff have been working to insure kids have books.
Over 18 boxes of books for kids have been donated to the school meal program. School staff at all locations clean them and make them available for the kids to take with their meals. Many jubilant children are enjoying family reading time and the volunteers are providing a wonderful service to our community.
Many thanks to the efforts and the connection that this brings to us all who love stories and our Juneau home. If you have any clean, gently used children’s books that you would like to donate, please email us at juneauplfriends@gmail.com

Movies from the Library

Juneau Public library offers films digitally through Kanopy and Hoopla.
Yes, besides physical media (dvd), there are documentaries, art films, and more on Kanopy.

Hoopla has even more to offer.  Hoopla is a digital media service offered by our local public library for borrowing movies, music, audiobooks, ebooks, comics and TV shows to enjoy on your computer, tablet, or phone – and even your TV!   Download titles from Hoopla for offline playback.

You can learn more by asking a person at the library or
